    O Burger King está lançando um novo serviço de delivery via WhatsApp. A modalidade já estava funcionando em Curitiba há algumas semanas, mas deverá chegar gradualmente para outras regiões do Brasil ao longo dos próximos meses, contando com até 30% de desconto nos pedidos feitos pelo mensageiro. Trata-se de uma estratégia da rede de fast food para impulsionar seu próprio serviço de entrega e depender menos do iFood.

    Lançado inicialmente em Curitiba, o novo delivery via WhatsApp do Burger King vai passar primeiro por um período teste de 90 dias e em apenas dez lojas da rede na cidade. Pedidos realizados pelo mensageiro contam com até 30% de desconto.

    No momento, o cardápio é otimizado e reduzido no WhatsApp, incluindo os lanches mais vendidos pela empresa de fast food, como Whopper, Mega Stacker e Chicken Crisp. O processo é bem simples: basta iniciar uma conversa com o número (11) 3003-5464 no WhatsApp para fazer seu pedido. O pagamento é feito via Pix, com um código “copia e cola”, ou pelo Mercado Pago, através de um link direto, conforme o cliente preferir. No entanto, é necessário possuir uma conta no app do BK para isso.

    Caso você já esteja cadastrado, só precisará informar o CPF no chat do WhatsApp e seus dados serão acessados. Caso contrário, é possível também criar uma conta sem sair do mensageiro, informando endereço, telefone e nome completo. O cadastro realizado dessa forma pode ser utilizado para logar no aplicativo ou site de delivery do Burger King.

    O lançamento dos pedidos via WhatsApp é resultado de uma estratégia de digitalização que a rede de fast food vem tomando desde 2018. Naturalmente, os planos foram acelerados durante a pandemia de coronavírus para expandir o serviço de entregas e atender as pessoas em quarentena.

    Desde 2020, o Brurguer King viu seus pedidos para entrega crescerem a ponto de representarem 15% de todas as vendas de 2021, cerca de R$ 450 milhões. Naquele ano, o crescimento do delivery da rede foi de 26%. No entanto, a companhia ainda depende demais de apps como o iFood para conectar os estabelecimentos aos consumidores.

    Com o serviço de entrega no WhatsApp, o BK quer se apropriar dessa relação direta com o cliente e ampliar o alcance de seu próprio serviço de delivery, lançado no início de 2021. Afinal, diferentemente de seu concorrente Mac Donald’s, que possui contrato de exclusividade com o iFood e por isso paga comissões menores, o Burger King trabalha com oito entregadores diferentes, além do seu canal próprio.

    Após o período de 90 dias de testes em Curitiba, os pedidos por WhatsApp deverão chegar a todas as 100 cidades do Brasil onde o app e site do BK já oferecem o próprio serviço de delivery, sem intermediários.
